James Lunge is a lawyer in the Corporate, Commercial and Projects team at Ashurst’s Port Moresby office. He regularly advises and acts for clients on some of Papua New Guinea’s most significant and complex matters, including major projects and project financing, energy and resources, technology, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and capital markets transactions. In 2024, James completed a nine-month secondment with Ashurst Australia’s Projects & Energy Transition team, where he worked on major infrastructure projects in the transport and energy sectors across Australia and internationally. James’ involvement with Transparency International Papua New Guinea (TIPNG) began in 2011, when he was a member of the Youth Against Corruption Association (YACA) during high school. He is also an alumnus of the TIPNG-run Mike Manning Youth Democracy Camp.
