Our 2021 Q1 NEWSLETTER IS OUT NOW!

Dear Members and Friends,

What a start to 2021 it has been, as we once again embrace the challenges associated with the resurgence of COVID-19 cases around the country.

Despite these challenges, TIPNG’s commitment and resolve in reiterating the citizen demand for transparency and accountability in our country, in the face of the ongoing National health crisis has been as steadfast as ever.

This quarter, we have already executed several key interventions, targeted at encouraging greater dialogue
and collaborative action across a number of key sectors in the PNG governance framework.

These include our 2020 Corruption Perceptions Index launch event in January, which united the Law & Justice sector in collaborative discourse on anti-corruption priorities and practicable next steps.

We were fortunate to have the event attended by the Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Minister for Police, Secretary of Department of Prime Minister, Police Commissioner, Public Solicitor and representatives from the Department of Justice & Attorney General, Office of the Public Prosecutor amongst others.

This quarter has also seen the achievement of a number of milestones. Such as the completion of data collection for our National Integrity Systems Assessment, completion of the 4th Legal Internship Program and participation in the NCD Provincial Electoral Steering Committee (PESC).

While adapting to our new operating conditions has been a challenge, the outpouring of public support towards our cause has been extremely encouraging and we have now exceeded half our membership target for 2021!

Moving forward, we look forward to even greater collaboration and partnership next quarter and even better outcomes for our people.

Yours in partnership,
Arianne Kassman, Chief Executive Officer
