Dear Members, Friends and Supporters,
As we close the books on the second quarter of 2024, I’m filled with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. This period has been marked by significant strides in our mission to promote transparency and accountability.
The Sir Anthony Siaguru Walk Against Corruption was a huge success, exceeding our fundraising goals and demonstrating your commitment and support to the work of TIPNG . I encourage you to explore the inspiring images that capture the spirit of this event.
Following the Walk, we hosted the Mike Manning Youth Democracy Camp, a transformative experience for 29 young leaders. The camp provided invaluable hands-on training in democratic principles and good governance, equipping these future leaders with the tools they need to make a positive impact.
Our Annual General Meeting concluded the quarter, where we presented our 2023 financial statement and elected our new Board of Directors. I’m excited to collaborate with this dedicated team as we embark on the development of TIPNG’s new strategic plan.
We are actively developing our Strategic Plan for 2024-2028, which outlines our priorities for the coming years.
Key areas of focus include re-engaging with young people through the Youth Against Corruption Association, partnering with existing stakeholders, and enhancing civic knowledge on good governance. By building a strong and recognized brand, we will strive to influence like-minded individuals and organizations to foster a culture of courage and integrity and contribute to a more transparent and accountable Papua New Guinea.
This has been a busy but incredibly rewarding quarter. Your commitment to our mission empowers us to engage in spaces that demand accountability. Thank you for your continued dedication and enthusiasm.
