CCAC set to host national meeting in Lae

The Community Coalition Against Corruption (CCAC) is set to host its first national meeting in Lae, Morobe Province on Monday 24 April 2023 at the Lae International Hotel. The aim of this Meeting is to galvanise national support through regional representation for the CCAC to prioritize national issues that the CCAC can collectively work to campaign and increase advocacy on. The meeting is also expected to lead to the formation of a CCAC National Steering Committee to lead the work of the Coalition.

Media too Important to rush through Policy Consultation

Concerns have been expressed by the community as to the haste in which the Government is conducting consultation on a draft National Media Development Policy which could undermine media freedoms in Papua New Guinea. The Community Coalition Against Corruption (CCAC) in a media statement is calling on the Department of Information and Communication Technologies to extend the time and breadth of consultation on this proposed national policy.

Bridge the Integrity Gap

Thursday 17 November 2022, Port Moresby – Transparency International PNG (TIPNG) is hosting the 2nd National Integrity Summit from November 17th – 18th 2022 at the APEC Haus in Port Moresby.

With the theme “Bridge the Integrity Gap”, the National Integrity Summit brings together national practioners and reformers to be informed of the latest approaches to strengthen national integrity through structured dialogue. The Summit will showcase innovative approaches to anti-corruption, recognize the efforts of agencies and celebrate investigative journalism in Papua New Guinea.

Arianne Kassman

Arianne Kassman is the Chief Executive Officer of Transparency International Papua New Guinea (TIPNG). She joined TIPNG in 2011, was appointed Executive Director in 2017, and became CEO in 2020. With more than a decade in the anti-corruption sector, Arianne leads initiatives that empower Papua New Guineans to demand integrity, accountability, and good governance, with a strong focus on youth participation and civic education. 

Arianne founded 350 PNG in 2013 and serves as a Director of Sustainable Coastlines PNG. She is also a Council Member of the Institute of National Affairs and a member of the Strategy Reference Group for the Transparency International Global Movement.
