Read our Q2 2026 Newsletter – all the updates of an exciting quarter!

Dear Members and Friends,

Marking the end of Q2 2026, I reflect with satisfaction on our collective efforts to advance transparency and accountability across Papua New Guinea. From strong community engagement to historic policy achievements, this period has further strengthened the integrity network that drives our work forward.

The quarter was anchored by the success of the 16th Sir Anthony Siaguru Walk Against Corruption (SASWAC), held on June 21, 2026. Under the theme of “Integrity & Action Now!”,190 teams converged at the Sir John Guise Stadium, raising K208,000 to fuel support for our work.

In the policy space, we reached a landmark achievement with the official validation of the National Right to Information (RTI) Policy on June 11, 2026. This framework, which TIPNG has championed since 1997, is now ready for National Executive Council (NEC) submission, marking an importnat step toward securing every citizen’s constitutional right under Section 51.

As we look toward the 2027 elections, we remain vigilant. Our recently released 2025 Enabling Environment Country Focus Report warns that civic space is under increasing pressure, making our collective voice more essential than ever.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our financial members for their continued support. Your contributions have been instrumental in enabling us to achieve our goals.

We encourage readers to register as new members or renew supoport to our work, be part of our journey. If you read anything in this issue that interests you, please contact us and let us know how we can assist. We look forward to your partnership.
