TIPNG Welcomes PNGUoT Communications Trainees

Setting Integrity as a professional standard

Port Moresby, 7th March 2026 – Transparency International Papua New Guinea (TIPNG) is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2026 Industrial Training Program, welcoming two exceptional final-year students from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUoT).
The 13-week placement, running from February to May, marks a significant milestone as the first time TIPNG has engaged trainees from the PNGUOT School of Communication and Development Studies. The two trainees, Ms. Rosana Tabua and Ms. Euphrasia Atalou, join the team to apply their technical and analytical skills in the civil society and governance sector.
Attached to the TIPNG Communications Team, the trainees will play a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission. Their comprehensive training program includes advancing TIPNG’s brand through media relations and strategic communications, contributing to the implementation of TIPNG’s communications workplan across various projects, updating critical voter education materials and election campaign briefs and engaging at high-level stakeholder meetings and advocacy events to learn the complexities of communication within the governance space.
“Our goal at TIPNG is to ensure that integrity is not just a value we speak about, but a professional standard that our trainees live by,” said Ms. Arianne Kassman, CEO of TIPNG.
“By taking on these trainees into TIPNG’s work, we are investing in a future where transparency is the light that guides every sector of our society. We are building a community of young professionals who understand that their true power lies in their character and their commitment to being good professional leaders,” Ms. Kassman added.
This first-time engagement with PNGUoT Industrial Trainee underscores TIPNG’s commitment to fostering a national culture of accountability. By providing future graduates with practical industry exposure, TIPNG is ensuring that the next generation of communicators is equipped to lead with honesty and serve as responsible citizens in the fight against corruption.
